FRDC Commercial Strategy
FRDC has decided to implement
a strategy that focuses on the economic redevelopment
of Cedar Avenue and Quincy Avenue, two economically disinvested,
commercially-zoned corridors. Both streets have some of the
highest vacant land and vacant building rates in the City and
the residential area between them is greatly underserved by
retail and service enterprises.
As part of its function
as a neighborhood planning organization, FRDC continues
to work with various institutions and businesses as they develop
their Campus Master Plans so that there is congruence between
their efforts and the parameters of the Fairfax Renaissance
Plan.
